This is a very sought after Caithness paperweight from 1984, the time the renowned William Manson Snr concentrated on his brilliant lampwork interpretation of sea life and critters such as this Black Salamander. This Black amphibian is shown on marshy land, accompanied by a ladybug. Only 100 were made, this being number 73.
It is worth highlighting that when issued, some 38 yrs ago, this weight cost $750 in the USA
Its in excellent condition and measures 77mm or 3 inches. diameter. Ref: 03357
